Everyone is gearing up for election day on March 3rd. Many people who work in the campaign industry always look forward to the break after election day. This year, that break will have to wait for a bit longer.
In the City of Westminster and City of Santa Ana, we will see a recall election that will appear on the ballot.
The Westminster election is set to take place on April 7th. Mayor Tri Ta, Councilmember Kimberly Ho, and Councilmember Chi Charlie Nguyen will all face a recall; additionally, candidates to replace them will also be on the ballot (should the recall pass). To read more about the recall, I suggest heading over to Voice of OC.
In Santa Ana, no date has been set for the election as of yet. Just over a week ago, the signatures were verified for the recall of Councilwoman Ceci Iglesias to move forward. The signature gatherers squeaked out enough signatures with five extra to spare (that is cutting it close). In the coming weeks, we can expect the Santa Ana City Council to set a date for the recall election.
We will be covering these elections, after we get the results from Super Tuesday.
