Voters across the state cast their votes two weeks ago. Still ballots are being counted in many counties. This blog will post updates and analysis of SoCal districts as results continue to be certified.
At a glance, statewide races are performing very similarly to 2018 turnout models.
Because of the jungle primary system in California, voters in a few races, noted below in vibrant colors, will only have a choice between two Democratic candidates. Republicans were unable to block out the Democrats from any seats during the primary.
Dark Blue – Denotes districts in which Democratic candidates were the top two vote getters.
Light Blue –A Democratic candidate was the recipient of votes. A Republican was the runner up. The two will face off in November.
Light Red – A Republican candidate was the recipient of the most votes. A Democrat was the runner up. The two will face off in November.
